Tombstone Tuesday: De Meulder

A tombstone that is a bit different: A statue of an angel, with two small circles on the pedestal containing the inscription:

Henriette P.C.M. de Meulder [born] 2 February 1874 in Lisse [died] 11 August 1951 in Breukelen, awaits here the happy day of her resurrection.

Note that, in the left circle, Breukelen (the name of the town) is inscribed between the date and the year of the death - I assume this is an error of the stone mason.

I could find her birth record in Genlias, the Dutch BMD database: Henrietta Paulina Christina Maria Meulder, daughter of Charles Louis Frederik Meulder and Hendrika Maria van Pest, was born on 2 February 1874 in Lisse.

Heus

Here rests our dear wife and mother, Helena Petr. Heus-Griffioen, born 20 June 1889, died 13 February 1940. And our caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Johannes Heus, born 2 October 1887, died 19 December 1974.

At the bottom of the stone you can read the epitaph, Mijn Jezus Barmhartigheid (My Jesus Mercy).

A quick search in the major Dutch BMD databases turned up:

• Johannes Heus, male, son of Johannes Heus and Elizabeth van de Kamp, was born on 2 October 1887 in Westbroek.
• Helena Petronella Griffioen, female, daughter of Cornelis Griffioen and Cornelia van Vliet, was born on 20 juni 1889 in Kockengen.
• Johannes Heus, 22, born in Westbroek, son of Johannes Heus and Elizabeth van de Kamp, and Helena Petronella Griffioen, 20, born in Kockengen, daughter of Cornelis Griffioen and Cornelia van Vliet, married on 14 April 1910 in Kamerik.
• Helena Petronella Griffioen, 50, daughter of Cornelis Griffioen and Cornelia van Vliet, spouse of Johannes Heus, died on 13 February 1940 in Breukelen St Pieter.
